Ave Maria...virgo serena

Composer: Josquin des Prez
Arranger: William Pritchard
Instrumentation: Brass quintet
Level: High School/ college

$10

A beautiful piece written by one of the greatest composers of the Renaissance.  There are no real technical concerns for this piece, but it will require some rehearsal to make all of the parts fit together.  A great piece to teach students independence of line in a brass quintet, a wonderful piece for a recital or a wedding.

Arranged for the wedding of our dear friends Travis Cottle and Erin Diehl

Dolcissima mia vita

Composer: Gesualdo, D. Carlo
Arranger: William Pritchard
Instrumentation: Brass Quintet
Level: College/ professional

$10

A haunting madrigal by one of the most infamous composers, the title means goodbye to the good life.  Gesualdo was way ahead of his time, especially in terms of harmony.  This piece will require individual preparation and coordination between players.  An interesting piece that will challenge players and audiences, but well worth it!

In the Lion's Den

Composer: William Pritchard
Instrumentation: Trombone Quartet
Level: College/ professional

$15

Written for our friend Hunter, who was badly injured in a motorcycle accident.  The piece requires a good high range on the first part and low notes in the bass part and presents some rhythmic challenges.  A nice addition to any trombone quartet or trombone choir concert.
